Natalie brain tans all of the buckskin she uses for her garments in the traditional (chemical free) way. They are sewn by hand using an awl and buckskin thread. The material will slip around your body like a cloud and will carry with it a slight smell of camp fire. She can also use your own hides to create your garment.
The creation of buckskin clothing is an art form. The process requires that finished hides be at hand to select from in order to choose the ones that fit your body and the design and use of your garment. The combination of tailoring and the fitting of hides requires in person fittings and time. Please allow a month to schedule a fitting and 1-4 months after the fitting for the completion of the garment.
Buckskin Garment Care
Buckskin clothing can be washed in cool water and dried without heat. It is possible to launder buckskin in a machine as long as the heat is kept under 100F.
