Sparrow Smith

Sparrow Smith (she/her) is a musician and maker based in Madison County, NC. When she is not playing banjo or accordion with her numerous bands, she can be found building her house in a holler, dancing with her friends, hiking, or participating in community life here in these beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. Sparrow’s interest in woodworking was fostered by a program at ABTech Community College, which included courses in cabinetry, construction, and blueprints. She has been developing these skills through two tiny house builds, and then a medium house build (which is fully dried in and in progress on the inside). In the process of developing a homestead, she has taught many helpers the basics of tools and building.
