Alison McKnight

Alison (she/her) attended a Tiny House Building Class in 2023, and got hooked on carpentry. Since then, she’s spent a lot of time volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, and more recently, working professionally under the mentorship of an independent carpenter in Asheville. She also maintains 5-7 other side-gigs, depending on the time of year.

Alison’s background is in Sports Medicine, but she now supports herself through a variety of part time jobs including food service, bartending, and carpentry. She is enthusiastic about encouraging femme energy in the workplace, especially in traditionally masculine spaces like professional kitchens and jobsites. In her downtime, she enjoys knitting, building, or making of any kind.
