Andie Ladigo

Andie Ladigo (they/them) was raised by the warm shallow creeks, oozing limestone cliffs, and tenacious heat-tolerant critters of the Texas Hill Country.

They grew up helping their disabled mentor run her ranch, raise her baby, and take on the unusual cases from the local wildlife rescue organization. Through the messy and rough work on the ranch, they learned to channel their intense energy to create pockets of gentleness and care and realized that stewardship is a means to knowing oneself.

While earning their BS in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences, they guided canoe & climbing trips, often leading folks on their first-ever outdoor adventure. In this role they grew to love watching their students’ transformation from worried uncertainty toward playful competence. Each trip became an opportunity to steward that mischievous spark of self-connection in others.

After moving to the southeast In 2017, they fell in love with chainsawing and also picked up the basics of carpentry while maintaining infrastructure as a park ranger. This basic skillset allowed them to start on a construction crew in 2020 and they’ve been building custom homes ever since.

Ultimately for them, it’s the facilitation of connection to oneself, and therefore to the land, that motivates Andie to guide, to teach, to share all that they’ve picked up along the way.
