Justin Holt was raised in New York’s Hudson Valley in the shade of old red oak and shagbark hickory trees. He moved to Asheville in 2004 to study at UNCA. After earning a degree in Jazz Studies and Spanish, he made the next logical career move and leapt head first into the world of permaculture. The multidisciplinary, ecological approach to working for positive change set him off on a journey that has included running an outdoor education non-profit, co-founding organizations with like minded agro/eco-activists (Nutty Buddy Collective, Asheville Nuttery, Kudzu Culture), lots of community gardening and orcharding, foraging, teaching, learning, and exploring. He currently operates Wolf Tree Consulting, a small forestry and permaculture consulting company.
