Kathy Graham (she/they) first fell in love with the Appalachian Mountains when hiking the Appalachian Trail in 1999. In 2009 Kathy and her husband Mark were seeking a vibrant, abundant and nurturing area to settle and raise their newly started family. The Appalachian Mountains called, and they began caretaking a homestead just 45 minutes from Asheville, NC. One of the first community events they attended with their 3-year-old daughter, Jade, was Natalie’s Firefly Gathering.
In 2010 Kathy established KG Bookkeeping, LLC and began supporting various local small businesses with their bookkeeping and office management needs. What started as a one woman show has organically grown into an expansive little business that now has a team of four women and clientele from across the country.
Kathy was absolutely delighted when the opportunity arose to add Wild Abundance to her client list. It’s not the bookkeeping that is an inspiration but the people and businesses for whom KG Bookkeeping assists that makes the work so meaningful. To support the earth and those who want to live closer to it by giving vicariously to the cause through bookkeeping for Wild Abundance is as sweet as the smell of fresh cut wood.
Mark and Kathy now have their own homestead and live in a little house that Mark built. The gift of being able to hike these mountains at the drop of a hat continues to nurture Kathy and her family. When not hiking, or bookkeeping, Kathy can be found fencing with her son or tucked up by the fireplace reading and drinking hot cocoa with her daughter.
